Video Clips
Step 1: Record your movie
To create video files you need a camera. Most digital cameras and mobile phones have a video mode to record small video clips.
Step 2: Edit your recording
To edit the recorded clip you can use various very good free software tools. We suggest you use the following tools:
Movie (Windows platform): Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker makes home movies amazingly fun. With Movie Maker, you can create, edit, and share your movies. Windows Movie Maker is part of the standard installation of Windows XP SP2. It's probably installed on your computer. Check your programme list (Start -> Programs)

Windows Movie Maker has a good help system. Follow the instructions and see how easy it is to edit or make your first movie. TIP: Involve your students, they would love to help you...

iMovie provides clear instructions on how to edit and create your movie clips.
Step 3: Upload your recording
The following video provides a step-by-step guide on how to upload a video file to your project page.
tip for advanced users You can embed your video on the page. First you need to upload your video on youtube.
Once your video is available on youtube you can "embed" the video on your webpage on the rivers platform. Just copy the code from the "Embed" box—you can find it in the "About This Video" box when you're watching the video. Once you have copied the code, navigate to your project page on the Rivers website, switch to edit mode and select "add". Pick add text from the list, paste the "code" in the text box and click on save.
