Students worked with a technique called técnica de raspado. They used Mexican embroidery and contrasting colours.
The pupils made watercolour and ink paintings of jellyfish from Veracruz.
'This year has been fantastic! The boys talked entirely the following day about the project and what they would be doing in the future. Their self-esteem has gone up ten-fold and the group dynamic has been enhanced to such a great degree. It was great for the boys to "actually" see what the final product would be and they were directly involved in this. I can't wait to see the final banner at the Thames Festival.'
