Researching River City, the pupils created two boards, one was dark and the other was light. The students created lines and blocks of colour using pure pigment on the dark background. They then cut the light board into small pieces and arranged these onto the dark board. The imagery was scanned into the computer and adjusted on the digital board.

The Yangtze River, the biggest river in China, the third longest in the World, starts with the Tuotuo River at the Roof of the World -Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, takes in countless rivers, and flows eastward across the interior of China. With an overall length of more than 6,300 kilometers, the Yangtze River, next only to the Amazon and the Nile, is the third biggest river in the world and is a cradle that breeds the ancient civilization of the Chinese nation. Our project theme is the culture of the river and students are enjoying the happiness of carrying out the project. We have coordinated with the Sichuan Art University, under the guidance of some famous artists and sharing some ideas about the "Culture of river" for the website to keep it up to date. Researching River of Life the students took lost of photographs by the river. They then cut up the images using scissors or ripping them by hand, and pasted them freely according to their understanding of the ecological system and particular organisms along the river. The drawings were then scanned and adjusted on the computer using Photoshop.
