There is a 23-ft difference between low and high tide at London Bridge.
75 bridges cross over the non-tidal Thames.
More than 100 fish species have been recorded in the Thames estuary over the past 30 years, many of these in the river within London.
Art Workshop
For our workshop we learnt how to create a large image using lots of tiny images. This was inspired by the work of the American artist Chuck Close. The picture we created was of Joseph Johnson who was a black sailor in the 19th Century. He wore a hat with the ship 'Nelson' on it and entertained crowds by singing sea shantys and dancing. This was so he could earn money. The workshop was excellent.
