Gesang was taken from the popular artist who made a song about the Bengawan Solo River - the name Gesang literally means life. Now we can see that the Bengawan Solo River is highly polluted and we have a dream that someday the river will have clean water and beautiful surroundings again, just like in the song about the Bengawan Solo.

Sedgehill School
Based on the 'Polluted River' theme, students made ‘alien invaders’ which are currently undermining the eco-system of the Thames. Mitten Crabs, Zebra Mussels and Asiatic Clams were made from sheet metal and combined with recycled plastic flora.
